Cases

The vast majority of cases in which we act settle and a usual term of the settlement is that the settlement is confidential. Settlements by their nature ensure that the matter does not come before a judge and as such, is not ruled on and no judgement is made by the judge. For this reason the vast majority of the cases we handle have neither a reported or unreported judgment to accompany them.

10. Kearny v Wee Care Limited. Circuit Court, unreported: Case which dealt with protection given to reporting of suspected child abuse under the Protection for Persons Reporting Child Abuse Act 1998.

11. Francis Dolan (a minor) v Michael Dowling & Ors (Record No 1997 9068 P): High Court, Medical Negligence case that settled for £3,000,000.
